IOST partners up with NeoWorld to bring new 3D game to Olympus
IOST, in partnering with NeoWorld, gets access to an innovative game title
IOST Land can expect to land on the platform as of May 2019.
For Jimmy Zhong, the CEO behind IOST, quality is the prime driver behind new games on the network. “We don’t want a lot of zombie Dapps with only miners and short-term users,” Zhong argues. “We diligently select development teams in order to secure success by quality and to provide optimal infrastructure for excellent Dapps.”
One of the recent examples of this is the newly struck partnership between IOST and NeoWorld. In the near future, this means that players will obtain access to a brand new title – IOST Land.
Built on top of Unity, the game is a fully 3d world in which players buy land to build, invest and operate businesses.
According to the development team, the game is expected to land on the mainnet next month. Just what this means for Olympus is a game that, at its peak, brought in 23,000 DAUs.
While it remains to be seen whether this same level of user interaction can be maintained. IOST Land is certainly a change of pace.
