Looking for easier onboarding
Blockchain game developer 0xGames has announced it’s partnered up with Arkane Network.
Best known for 0xUniverse, its popular and long-running Ethereum space game, using Arkane’s tech means that, in future, players of 0xGames titles won’t be required to have or create a blockchain wallet, nor download additional software or browser extensions. They can just sign into their Arkane account with email and password.
This also makes it easier to create blockchain games across different platforms such as PC, mobile, browser and console.
More generally, making it easier to onboard users is one of the key obstacle blockchain game developers are looking to overcome.
Many are now designing games in such a way that they don’t require players to interact with a wallet or blockchain until they have have got deeper into the game experience. Other approaches see developers such as Dapper Labs (CryptoKitties) and Sky Mavis (Axie Infinity) creating their own wallet solutions.
