Loom Network and Consensys bring the Hackathon to New York

For a city that never sleeps, a 48hr marathon doesn’t sound so challenging

New York is renowned for being the ‘city that never sleeps’, which means that the occasional hackathon won’t be a challenge.

That’s something Loom Network is hoping for because it’s announced that it will be bringing its series of hackathons to New York.

From the 11th – 12th of August, Loom will be co-hosting a 48-hour hackathon with fellow blockchain developer, Consensys, providing support and guidance for developers looking to break into the world of the blockchain.

Rules of participation

Loom points out that this is not an event for newcomers to the world of game development but is open to any applications from anyone that fits the requirements, according to their Medium post:

  • Experience with game development (Unity, Cocos, JavaScript, etc.) — this is a MUST!
  • Interest in building apps on Ethereum (technical knowledge not required — the Loom Network team will be at the event to help you through building your first DApp)
  • Laptop (macOS/Linux/Windows 10)
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and creativity

Those who boast the relevant experience in game design can apply to take part in the hackathon by emailing their Github profile to [email protected] with the subject line ‘NYC Hackathon‘ before the submission deadline of August 4th.
